Menlo Park, CA – June, 2018:  Peninsula Volunteers, Inc. (PVI) is pleased to announce that it has received a $15,000 grant from the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Region, South San Francisco. This grant will further assist PVI’s mission to support seniors through its expanded Meals on Wheels program. This project is supported by Kaiser Permanente Northern California Community Benefit Programs.

“This funding from Kaiser Permanente is critical to the expansion of our Meals on Wheels program into the Northern half of San Mateo County” said Peter Olson, CEO of Peninsula Volunteers, Inc. “We’re grateful that Kaiser Permanente is recognizing and investing in these vital services as the need is growing each and every year.”

“Kaiser Permanente is thrilled to partner with local organizations that are improving our community’s health and wellness on a daily basis” said a representative of KFH Northern California Community Benefit Programs Division. “We want to recognize PVI’s Meals on Wheels program for the work they do to provide access to needed health services.”

The Community Grants Program at Kaiser Foundation Hospital’s Northern California Community Benefit Program is just one example of how KFH invests for the benefit of community health and wellness. The Board annually identifies local health priorities, solicits grant applications from community organizations addressing those priorities, and awards grant funding to support their work and outreach.
