PENINSULA VOLUNTEERS, INC. RECEIVES $20,000 GRANT FROM THE SAN BRUNO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
Menlo Park, CA- JANUARY, 2020: Peninsula Volunteers, Inc. (PVI) is pleased to announce that it has received a $20,000 grant from the San Bruno Community Foundation Community Grants Program.
The Grant is targeted for PVI’s Meals on Wheels program to be used exclusively in connection with increasing food security and to alleviate the hunger of older adults and adults with disabilities in San Bruno through proper nutritional support and the home delivery of hot meals.
“SBCF’s mission is to benefit the San Bruno Community through enduring and significant contributions to, and investments in, charitable and community programs over the long term. “Through the Community Grants Fund and our support from YouTube and Google.org, we invest annually in local organizations dedicated to serving the San Bruno community,” said Foundation President Frank Hedley.”
At the December 4, 2019, SBCF Board meeting, Marilyn Baker-Venturini of Peninsula Volunteers, Inc., discussed PVI’s efforts to support seniors and adults with disabilities in San Bruno with the home delivery of hot meals and other nutritional assistance, which the Foundation is funding with this $20,000 grant.
