Life Long Learning

We provide stimulating programs designed to enhance the intellectual, social, and cultural interests of adults. These offerings will enhance your overall quality of life, with specific emphasis on the arts, ongoing education, and community exploration. This broad range of events and inter-generational programs includes classes in the ceramics studio, visual art classes and monthly lectures on topics including history, science, aging well, and the world around us. Through our travel desk and our partnerships with local arts, theater, music, and nature organizations, we encourage seniors to engage with and explore the community.

Art Programs

Our art studio offers ceramics classes for all levels. From hand work and wheel throwing to glazing and firing in the kiln, our skilled instructions can help bring out your inner artist to create your own masterpiece. Watercolor, jewelry making, cultural arts and other visual art forms are also offered periodically.

Cultural Programs

We also offer a myriad of cultural classes and events including memoir writing, digital photography, the Great Courses video series, movies, and language classes designed to keep you intellectually stimulated. A host of holiday events like Thanksgiving and St. Patrick’s Day round out our cultural programming.

Join the Little House Book Club for a lively and spirited group discussion of fiction and non-fiction books the first Wednesday of every month. Stay tuned for this months book.

Coffee and Concert

Join us for coffee and concert. This magical musical treat features a trio of musicians performing the Madeleine Dring. Coffee and light breakfast will be available.

Learn about the types of elder financial scams out there, the methods they use to lure you in and how to recognize a bad actor.

Real Estate Lunch and Learn

Learn how you can use a specialized trust and the Internal Revenue Code to Substantially avoid or defer tax on the sale of your highly-appreciated home or investment property.

Ceramics for Fun

Introduce your kids to the wonderful world of ceramics. Classes are taught in 6 week sessions beginning January 11, 2022 Tuesdays 4:15pm - 5:30pm $125.00 per session ($25.00 sibling discount)

Clay and Chardonnay

Join us for a wonderful evening that will help you unwind and release your inner artist. As you sip on wine, the instructor will guide you on a step-by-step artistic adventure to create your own clay masterpiece.

Intermediate Ceramics

Want to explore ceramics at your own pace with the support of an instructor? Intermediate Pottery Wheel/Handbuilding Hybrid Class Mondays beginning February 7 3pm – 6pm $22.00 per class / $90.00 - 5 classes / $165.00 - 10 classes

Knitting Club

Bring your knitting needles and projects. All skill levels are welcome to join! Weekly get-togethers are intended to be relaxed knitting sessions with good company.

Spring Tea and Mandala Art

Dot Mandalas are created using specialized dot mandala tools to create a lovely artwork. This is a very peaceful and almost meditative art form that reduces stress, quiets the body and lets the inner artist blossom.

Games, Club and Social Activities

Line Dancing

Line Dancing is a fun way to stay fit and meet friends. Benefits of line dancing include increased cardiovascular endurance, and balance along with enhanced memory and awareness. Class is choreographed by song and taught so the group is dancing in unison. No partners needed, just your dancing two-step shoes! This class meets in person. Pre-registration is required. All levels are welcome.

Culture Movies

Join Little House for the afternoon and watch culturally significant movies and foreign films. Mondays 1:00pm | Auditorium No advanced registration required to attend.

Duplicate Bridge

Are you an experienced bridge player? Join our duplicate Bridge game. No advanced registration required to attend.

Mah Jong

Meet new friends and keep your mind sharp with this traditional Chinese game. Similar to the card game rummy, Mah Jong is a game of skill, strategy, and calculation and involves a degree of chance. If you’re new to Mah Jong, join us for free lessons on Tuesdays. No advanced registration required to attend.
